Basketball Game Preview: New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Victory Baptist Warrior

The New Creation Christian Academy Crusaders and the Victory Baptist Warrior will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, New Creation Christian Academy turned things around against Peachtree Academy on Tuesday. They took their match with ease, bagging an 85-46 victory over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Victory Baptist came up short against Bible Baptist Christian on Monday and fell 71-58. Even though they lost, the Warrior's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.6 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

New Creation Christian Academy will need focus on slowing down Isaiah Davis, one of several Victory Baptist players who made an impact when they last played. He went 8 of 14 en route to 19 points. Davis is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Dontaye Bell, who went 6 of 11 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Victory Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Victory Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for New Creation Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
