Football Recap: Eastern Alamance Finds Playoff Glory Versus Fike + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eastern Alamance walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 35-0 win over the Fike Golden Demons. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sammy Raphael continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 143 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries. Those 143 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Eastern Alamance also got help from Devontia Clark, who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.

Eastern Alamance didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fike to a completion percentage of just 30%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Christian Hester and Cayden McIver, who each logged one passes deflected. Eastern Alamance wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 55%.

Eastern Alamance didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brandon Lindsey and Hester. With that strong performance, Lindsey is now averaging an impressive 1.1 defended passes per game. Trinity Totten was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Despite the loss, Fike still got an impressive performance from Zy'Quan Hines, who rushed for 110 yards on only eight carries.

Eastern Alamance's record now sits at 5-6. As for Fike, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Eastern Alamance will head out to challenge Hunt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fike does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
