Basketball Recap: Blue Springs Comes Up Short

If Blue Springs was feeling good fresh off their 65-40 takedown of Liberty North last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Springs Wildcats lost 64-41 to the Lee's Summit West Titans on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Titans are ranked 46th).

Blue Springs has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Lee's Summit West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats duke it out with the Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lee's Summit West, they will welcome Raymore-Peculiar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
