Softball Recap: Winona Comes Up Short

Winona lost against Alton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Comets by a score of 9-8. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winona's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Alton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Alton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-10 loss against Summersville on the 13th. Hopefully Winona paid attention to the Comets' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Comets at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
