Basketball Recap: Parkway Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Parkway won the last time they faced Coldwater and things went their way on Thursday too. The Parkway Panthers came out on top against the Coldwater Cavaliers by a score of 37-29. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 448th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Parkway is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Coldwater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Parkway Panthers face off against the Ansonia Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Coldwater, they will welcome Shawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
