Baseball Recap: Delta Charter Wins Going Away Against Millennium

Delta Charter hadn't done well against Millennium recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Delta Charter Dragons put the hurt on the Millennium Falcons with a sharp 12-6 win. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 15-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Delta Charter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Hollis, who went 4-for-5 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Hollis a new career-high in hits (four). Dustin Sousa was another, going 3-for-5 with one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Delta Charter and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs over those games. As for Millennium, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Delta Charter will venture away from home to take on Waterford at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millennium, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Falcons challenge the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
