Basketball Game Preview: Kilgore Bulldogs vs. Spring Hill Panthers

On Saturday, Kilgore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 42-37 to Gilmer. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Spring Hill beat Cumberland Academy 35-29 on Friday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Knights are ranked 1222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kilgore's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Spring Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
