Preview: Fullerton Warriors vs. Elba Bluejays

Fullerton is 5-0 against Elba since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fullerton Warriors will be playing at home against the Elba Bluejays at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Fullerton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.

Fullerton posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against St. Edward as Fullerton made off with a 64-43 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Fullerton has posted against St. Edward since February 6, 2018.

Fullerton found their leader in underclassman Kane Wetovick, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Wetovick is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nolan Dubas, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Elba, who are still winless after their tenth match. They had to suffer through a rough 60-23 loss at the hands of Heartland Lutheran. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Elba has suffered since December 8, 2023.

Fullerton's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Elba, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10.

Everything came up roses for Fullerton against Elba in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 80-51 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Elba's Brendon Keene, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be that much easier for Fullerton to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
