Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buena). They blew past the Santa Paula Cardinals 18-10 on Saturday. The Bulldogs not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Buena and bumps their season record up to 3-6. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Santa Paula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buena will venture away from home to face off against Camarillo at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Camarillo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Buena's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Paula, they are taking a road trip to take on Nordhoff at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
