Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Cougars vs. Wright

For the first time this season, Kennedy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will face off against Wright at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kennedy took on East St. John on Thursday. Kennedy came up short against East St. John, falling 18-1. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Calvin Grant was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Kennedy: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-6-1 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Wright lost 16-1 to Donaldsonville on Thursday. The contest marked Wright's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1.
