Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Shanae Clarke and Alyssa Suarez Lead Cypress Springs to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cypress Woods, Cypress Springs was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cypress Park Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

One reason for the win was Cypress Springs' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-9.

Leading Cypress Springs to victory were Alyssa Suarez and Shanae Clarke. Suarez had 11 digs and two aces, while Clarke had 12 digs. That's the most digs Suarez has posted since back in September. Paityn Goodwin also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Cypress Springs' win bumped their record up to 12-27. As for Cypress Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-26 record this season.
