Preview: Lawrence County Cougars vs. Columbia Wildcats
The Lawrence County Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Columbia Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Last Friday, Lawrence County was able to grind out a solid victory over Purvis, taking the game 38-28.
Meanwhile, Columbia stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-27 win over Purvis at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Columbia has posted since December 7, 2023.
Lawrence County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Columbia, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Lawrence County was able to grind out a solid win over Columbia in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 56-49. Will Lawrence County repeat their success, or does Columbia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
