Baseball Recap: Four Corners Beats Discovery for Their Third Straight Win

While Four Corners's win against Discovery wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Four Corners Coyotes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Discovery Spartans on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Coyotes sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mateo Torres was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Angel Gonzalez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Four Corners' victory bumped their record up to 11-5-1. As for Discovery, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Four Corners will head out to square off against Bell Creek Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Four Corners is facing Bell Creek Academy at the right time seeing as Bell Creek Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Discovery will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridge Community at 7:00 p.m. on April 3rd.
