Softball Recap: Indian Springs Comes Up Short

Indian Springs lost against Round Mountain on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Knights, falling 17-1. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Indian Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shayne Dedmon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases and one run.

Indian Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Round Mountain, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Indian Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain View Christian at 1:00 p.m. on the 28th. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Thunderbirds will no doubt try to take advantage of. After both having extra time off, Round Mountain and Tonopah will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th. The Knights will need to watch out since the Muckers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six games.
