Volleyball Recap: Englewood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the DSST: College View Wolves, falling 3-0. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Englewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11, 25-8.

Kira Cole paced Englewood's offense, picking up seven kills. Cole got some help from Shana Owens and her five assists. Eden Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for DSST: College View, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

Coming up, Englewood will welcome Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for DSST: College View, they will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Vail Christian at 8:30 a.m.
