Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Western Takes a Loss

Walled Lake Western lost against South Lyon back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Walled Lake Western Warriors took a blow against the South Lyon Lions, falling 52-23. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 572nd, while the Lions are ranked 63rd).

Walled Lake Western has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. South Lyon's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Walled Lake Western has already played their next contest, a 59-26 defeat against Lakeland on the 27th. As for South Lyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-21 victory against Walled Lake Central on the 27th.
