Lake Minneola put the hurt on Central Florida Christian Academy with a sharp 80-58 win. Given Lake Minneola's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while Central Florida Christian Academy is ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Lake Minneola to victory were Landon Blackwell and Dakari Francis. Blackwell scored 24 points, while Francis scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Francis has scored all season. Ethan Isom was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lake Minneola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Lake Minneola will head out on the road to take on Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Florida Christian Academy, they will take on Hagerty at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
