Basketball Recap: Bonham Takes a Loss

Bonham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Paris Wildcats, falling 81-50. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 220th).

Despite the loss, Bonham still got an impressive performance from Heath Brown, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds. What's more, Brown also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brae Gorman, who posted seven points.

Bonham's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Paris, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.

Bonham will welcome Pittsburg at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Bonham is facing Pittsburg at the right time seeing as Pittsburg is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Paris, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Paris has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
