Baseball Recap: Westmont Takes a Loss

Westmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-3 to the Branham Bruins. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Bruins when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vinnie Moreno, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Westmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Branham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

While Westmont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
