Volleyball Recap: Johnson Creek Bluejays vs. Abundant Life Challengers
After flying high against Williams Bay last Thursday, Johnson Creek came back down to earth. The Bluejays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Abundant Life Challengers on Tuesday. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Challengers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
While Abundant Life got the win, Johnson Creek sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 25-13, 27-25, 13-25, 26-24.

Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Frey, who had 36 assists and three digs. Frey has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played. Caroline Armstrong was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.
Johnson Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Abundant Life, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Johnson Creek will face off against Markesan at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th. As for Abundant Life, they will challenge Wisconsin Heights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
