Basketball Game Preview: Stamford Black Knights vs. McMahon Senators

The Stamford Black Knights will challenge the McMahon Senators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stamford is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Stamford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-48 to Ridgefield. The Black Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Stamford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jordan Sutton almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sutton has scored all season. Ryan Connors was another key player, putting up seven points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, McMahon's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Monday. They fell just short of Harding by a score of 51-49. The loss was the Senators' first of the season.

Stamford's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for McMahon, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Stamford strolled past McMahon when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 64-47. Does Stamford have another victory up their sleeve, or will McMahon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
