Soccer Game Preview: Paola vs. Parsons

The Paola Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Parsons Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Paola's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Paola fell victim to Tonganoxie and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Chieftains by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Parsons made easy work of Liberty HomeSchool Alliance on Tuesday and carried off a 5-2 victory.

The Vikings hit the Arrows with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mario Zacarias (2), Keigan Morrow, Jamar Watkins, and Carsen Riley.

Paola's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Parsons, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-10-2.

Paola skirted past Parsons 5-4 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
