Basketball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Escondido Charter Tigers

The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Escondido Charter Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.

St. Joseph Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Army-Navy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. St. Joseph Academy lost 68-47 to Army-Navy.

St. Joseph Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Dominic Gale, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Ahiafor, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Escondido Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tri-City Christian.

Escondido Charter's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. As for St. Joseph Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

St. Joseph Academy beat Escondido Charter 65-54 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Will St. Joseph Academy repeat their success, or does Escondido Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
