Baseball Recap: Greenville Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cleveland Central, Greenville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Canton Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Ashton Dean spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ladarius Adkins, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Greenville is undefeated when Adkins posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Denim Saloane also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Greenville's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Canton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
