It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Sage Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Helix Highlanders 3-1.

Hudson Jahries tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Zac Petersen came in to relieve Jahries and was airtight, giving up no runs, hits or walks in his three innings pitched.

At the plate, Porter Rovin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Elijah Stephens, who went 3-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.
