Basketball Recap: Fountain Hills Comes Up Short at Home Against Phoenix Country Day + How To Watch

Fountain Hills unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Phoenix Country Day Eagles by a score of 63-60 on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Fountain Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ahren Lloyd, who shot 57% from the field en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jamison Jacobs, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 18 points.

Fountain Hills will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Madison Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Phoenix Country Day, they will square off against Palo Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
