Volleyball Recap: Independence Eagles vs. Brentwood Bruins
Independence lost against Brentwood back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Independence Eagles fell just short of the Brentwood Bruins by a score of 3-2. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bruins 25-21 in the first set.
Independence took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 15-6.
This is the second loss in a row for Independence and nudges their season record down to 12-12. As for Brentwood, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-9.
As of now, neither Independence nor Brentwood have any future games scheduled.
