Softball Recap: Gateway College Preparatory Gators vs. China Spring Cougars

With a playoff game on the line, Gateway College Preparatory rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the China Spring Cougars and snuck past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Gateway College Preparatory sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Chloe Ellis made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 19 over eight innings pitched. Ellis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 19 consecutive pitching appearances.
