It was a good run, but Ponte Vedra unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Clay Blue Devils an easy 3-0 win. The shutout was out of character for the Sharks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November.

Ponte Vedra's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Clay, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Ponte Vedra and Clay should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Ponte Vedra (ranked 15th) will meet St. Augustine (ranked 347th) at 7:20 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Meanwhile, Clay will take on St. Johns Country Day at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday up 354 places (104 vs. 458).
