Basketball Recap: Bristow Takes a Loss

Bristow lost against Perkins-Tryon back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates fell 64-51 to the Demons. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Bristow got some senior leadership from Tayt Jackson and Logan McDaniel. Jackson went 6-for-10 to rack up 18 points, while McDaniel shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points. Jackson's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. TJ Wilson was another key player, going 5-for-12 en route to 12 points and eight boards.

Bristow's loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Bristow and Perkins-Tryon will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Pirates see the court they'll take on Kellyville at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Perkins-Tryon, their break will end when they face Kiefer at 7:30 p.m. on January 13, 2026.
