Baseball Game Preview: Loris Lions vs. Dillon Wildcats

For the second straight game, Loris will face off against Dillon. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Loris Lions take on Dillon Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Loris was able to grind out a solid win over Dillon, taking the game 7-3.

Aiden Suggs made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Gavin Gore was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. Loris is undefeated when Gore posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Loris has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. Dillon is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
