Volleyball Recap: Sartell-St. Stephen's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sartell-St. Stephen had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Fergus Falls Otters. This was a revenge game for the Sabres: when they faced off against the Otters last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Sartell-St. Stephen had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-20, 25-18, 25-18.

Olivia Terhune paced Sartell-St. Stephen's offense, picking up 20 kills. Terhune got some help from Kate Thompson and her 42 assists. Finally, Terhune was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Sartell-St. Stephen's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Fergus Falls, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sartell-St. Stephen is set to take on their familiar foe Brainerd at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. Meanwhile, Fergus Falls will square off against rival Rocori at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
