Basketball Game Preview: Hooks Hornets vs. New Diana Eagles

The Hooks Hornets will take on the New Diana Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hooks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully New Diana likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Hooks took their game with ease, bagging an 80-40 victory over CHAAMP HomeSchool. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. New Diana enjoyed a cozy 66-48 win over Harmony. New Diana has beaten Harmony the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Harmony has come to flipping the script.

Hooks has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.3 points. As for New Diana, their victory bumped their record up to 14-15.

Everything came up roses for Hooks against New Diana when the teams last played back in December of 2020, as the squad secured a 79-34 win. In that game, Hooks amassed a halftime lead of 43-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
