Softball Recap: Fletcher Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Fletcher had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the First Coast Buccaneers a 4-0 shutout on Monday. The Senators haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Monike Priebe, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep First Coast off the board. Priebe has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Fletcher saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydni Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

The win got Fletcher back to even at 12-12. As for First Coast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

As of now, neither Fletcher nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
