It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but O'Connor had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears out 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for O'Connor.
Emily Fish and Amiya Jasso did most of the damage at the plate: Fish scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Jasso scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Meiko Dominguez was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
On Pharr-San Juan-Alamo's side, Alexa Avila and Aubrey Garza stepped up to the plate in a big way. Avila went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI, while Garza got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run.
