Basketball Recap: Heath Snaps 13-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a good run, but Heath unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 47-40 to the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxon Duston, who posted 14 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jordan Kaminsky, who had nine points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Heath's defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2. As for Mt. Vernon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Heath will square off against Johnstown-Monroe at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Heath is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. As for Mt. Vernon, they will take on Licking Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Licking Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
