Softball Recap: Phelps Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Betsy Layne, Phelps was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hurley Rebels a 15-0 shutout. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Phelps' victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Hurley, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phelps will take on Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hurley, they will challenge Grundy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
