Softball Game Preview: Community School of Naples Seahawks vs. South Fort Myers Wolfpack

The Community School of Naples Seahawks will square off against the South Fort Myers Wolfpack at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. South Fort Myers took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Community School of Naples, who comes in off a win.

Community School of Naples took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Seacrest Country Day, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Community School of Naples won by a run and slipped past Seacrest Country Day 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Seahawks have posted since March 26, 2024.

Chloe Zimm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and seven unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Lily Campbell was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Addy Novak, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, South Fort Myers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to Cape Coral.

The victory made it two in a row for Community School of Naples and bumps their season record up to 2-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for South Fort Myers, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Community School of Naples' way against South Fort Myers in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Community School of Naples made off with a 15-5 win. Will Community School of Naples repeat their success, or does South Fort Myers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
