Softball Recap: Texas School for the Deaf Has No Trouble Against Model Secondary School for the Deaf

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Concordia, Texas School for the Deaf was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles 18-6. The victory continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Malinda Shayman was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Evangeline Diaz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Texas School for the Deaf picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
