Elijah Pardo Delivers Best Effort of Season

Elijah Pardo produced his most outstanding game to date while leading South San Antonio to the win on Friday. Pardo rushed for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

South San Antonio pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Pardo and South San Antonio will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southwest Legacy at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Southwest picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Aj Franco. Southwest Legacy had no answer to Franco as he threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. The dominant performance also gave Franco a new career-high in rushing yards.

For the season, Franco has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 160.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging five passing yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Tajari Wellington Leads Jay over Nixon

On Friday, Jay got the W thanks in part to Tajari Wellington playing the best football he has all season. Wellington threw for 152 yards and a touchdown while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

The victory for Jay keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Wellington will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Martin on Thursday.
