Softball Recap: Chaminade Drops Highest Score of Season Against Louisville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaminade). They put the hurt on the Louisville Royals with a sharp 19-6 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

Chaminade got a massive performance out of Casey Glantz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Glantz has posted since back in April of 2024. Norah Pettersen was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chaminade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. They are 8-1-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the win, Chaminade broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-11-1. As for Louisville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Chaminade will challenge Harvard-Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Louisville, they will take on Notre Dame (SO) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
