Zephyrhills Christian Academy extends road losing streak to six

On Tuesday, Zephyrhills Christian Academy came up short against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate and fell 57-46. While losing is never fun, Zephyrhills Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 581st, while Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate is ranked 92nd).

Zephyrhills Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordani Blanc, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Blanc scored a full 26.1% of Zephyrhills Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rogers Jones, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.

TASHANDA MADZVIMBO was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with five assists for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate. The contest was MADZVIMBO's eighth in a row with at least ten points. EMANI BROWN was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals and five assists.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zephyrhills Christian Academy and Hollins will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
