Football Game Recap: Garretson vs. Hamlin

Garretson brought a eight-game winning streak into their game against Hamlin next week; they left with a nine-game streak. Garretson got past Hamlin with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 24-20.

Junior Nash Grantham and senior Devan Weelborg were two go-getters for Hamlin despite the defeat. The former passed for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns, while the latter caught passes for 127 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Grantham's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past eight games. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Connor Bawdon, who racked up nine tackles.

Garretson kept their perfect record intact and rose to 9-0. The loss dropped Hamlin's record to 7-2.
