Baseball Game Preview: Hermitage Hermits vs. Junction City Dragons

The Hermitage Hermits are taking a road trip to face off against the Junction City Dragons at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hermitage came up short against Bearden on Friday, falling 11-1. The Hermits haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Junction City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to Haynesville.

Junction City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reid Cates, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base. Ayeden Verdin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Junction City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Hermitage couldn't quite get it done against Junction City when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 8-4. Can Hermitage avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
