Basketball Recap: Sherwood Christian Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Tiftarea Academy

There's no place like home for Sherwood Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 55-44 win over the Tiftarea Academy Panthers on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Panthers are ranked 165th).

Sherwood Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Tiftarea Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.

Sherwood Christian Academy will challenge Southwest Georgia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Tiftarea Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-51 defeat against Terrell Academy on the 20th.
