Basketball Recap: Bonney Lake Comes Up Short

Bonney Lake lost against Auburn back in February of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bonney Lake Panthers were outmatched by the Auburn Trojans and fell 71-41. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Trojans are ranked ninth).

Bonney Lake is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14. As for Auburn, they pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home.

Looking ahead, Bonney Lake is taking a road trip to square off against Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Auburn, they will challenge Rogers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rogers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Auburn surely won't give up without a fight.
