Basketball Recap: Evergreen's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Evergreen lost against Union back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Evergreen Plainsmen took a 68-49 bruising from the Union Titans.

Defeat or not, Evergreen got some senior leadership from Adrian Wright and Maya Calhoun. Wright posted 16 points and eight rebounds, while Calhoun went 5 of 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The match was Wright's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Neal, who had five points and five rebounds.

Evergreen's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Union, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Evergreen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-29 win against Battle Ground on the 17th. As for Union, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-29 victory against Puyallup on the 16th.
