Mason Caturegli Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, St. Vincent de Paul got the W thanks in part to Mason Caturegli playing the best football he has all season. Caturegli picked up 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 51 yards.

The win (which was St. Vincent de Paul's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Caturegli and St. Vincent de Paul will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Analy at 2:00 p.m.

Phillips Came Up Big in Ukiah's 34-7 Win

Ukiah found a leader in Omaurie Phillips as the squad took down Montgomery on Friday. Montgomery had no answer to Phillips as he picked up 193 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Phillips showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 50 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Ukiah and bumps their season record up to 4-2. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats faces off against Santa Rosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Beau David Makes It Two for Ukiah

Keeping Phillips company is Beau David, a fellow Ukiah player. He threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 31 yards.

On the year, David has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 253 passing yards per game.

Gabe Casanovas Turns in Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns

The second St. Vincent de Paul player making an appearance here is Gabe Casanovas, and for good reason. He threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

For the season, Casanovas has thrown 18 touchdowns while averaging 203.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had eight passing touchdowns.

Rashai Thompson Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Rashai Thompson of Santa Rosa. Thompson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 119 rushing yards. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 84 yards.

Santa Rosa is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers takes on Ukiah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
