Volleyball Recap: Lanesboro Wins Going Away Against Schaeffer Academy

Lanesboro had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Schaeffer Academy on Thursday. The Burros put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Burros yet this season.

Lanesboro not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Schaeffer Academy between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

Schaeffer Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliana Lanners, who had 14 assists and 12 digs. Lily Morrisey was another key player, getting seven kills, four digs, and two blocks.

Lanesboro now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Schaeffer Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
