Basketball Recap: South Charleston Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

South Charleston came into Saturday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 44-39 W over the Independence Patriots on Saturday.

Independence's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Harmony Mills, who posted 15 points in addition to five boards and five steals, and Lacey Goodson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 38.5% of Independence's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

South Charleston's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Independence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

South Charleston will face off against St. Albans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they will be playing at home against Bluefield at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
